WELCOME TO OUR PIECE OF EDEN

Eco Dharma Village was born our of a strong desire to leave the city. In 2016, I started feeling like London was too much for me and that I needed more nature around. 2016 was a hard year and my now husband and I were not seeing the same future for ourselves, with fear, insecurity and attachments in the midst. But, as always, The Most High will shake you hard when you are not walking with purpose, and through an event that almost broke our relationship in December 2016, we entered 2017 with a different view of ourselves and our lives. That year, we decided to get married, for Kyle to quit his banking job, and for us to start looking for our way back to Eden. We knew we wanted land to grow our own food, maybe one day have animals too, to allow them to live in a safe place, but also help us with the up-keeping of our land (sheep are great lawnmowers) and also have a space to host retreats , so that we could allow others to experience nature and being down to earth to reboot, heal and even get inspired to move into nature too.

Our dream was unfortunately too big for the UK; which was financially out of our reach. Portugal, however, kept on coming up, with several friends paintings us in this direction. We decided to come visit and fell in love with the north of Portugal, which at the time really did not have many foreigners and was affordable. We found our land and old farm in a little village close to Geres National Park, in March 2018! So stunning! The farm was a ruin though and it took us well over a year to bring it back to looking lovely. We finished the main work (never actually ends), bought glamping domes and green houses and started a steep learning curve with many fails; who knew farming could be so hard? We planted 100 trees on our property too and they are growing beautifully.

This summer of 2023 we will finally start retreats again; we sadly had to cancel due to lockdowns, travel bans and insane requirements. But we are opening up for really down to earth retreats to support an amazing project called: Back to Eden (see details below)

So, whether you are joining us for events or retreats; we look forward to seeing you here.

Check out our gallery; we are always updating it

  • Back to Eden Sanctuary

We left London with one amazing dog, Scooby, but now host 7 dogs, after rescuing twenty. Some were lost and we managed to find their families, others were adopted by dog loving humans! Sadly, we keep meeting pups who need help; as the culture here is really backwards when it comes to animals welfare. So we are trying to open u a sanctuary. It is not easy feat and the requirements are pretty strict. But in the meantime, if you can support us , we have a Go Fund me campaign to look after the pups, and we welcome donations as food too. You can contact us so we can tell you which brands our dogs and cats are eating and maybe you can help us with a bag or two. We thank you in advance for it!

  • Whole Food Plant Based Vegan

Food is so important for us. We love to grow our own organic vegetables and have planted an abundance of fruit trees to give us all of nature’s best to support our wholesome vegan lifestyle! The food we eat daily is what we would share on retreats, food that is made with love for the love of the planet and animals! You can also join us to come and learn more about how to prepare amazing food here at Eco Dharma through our Back to Eden Supperclubs

  • Retreat with US

During the summer, we have a weekend a moth that is open to guests to come and spend time with us. These mini retreats are designed to connect to nature and yourself and they all have a special theme for personal growth, healing and joyful living
