NICE TO MEET YOU
Hey there,
Thanks for dropping by! I'm Chantal, and I'm thrilled that you're here to explore my story and learn more about how I can help you!
My wellness journey began in my childhood with emotional trauma that later evolved into an array of eating disorders, lack of self esteem and love, disease and ultimately a breaking point in my late 30’s, when I met an unexpected friend: My Dark Knight of the Soul.
As a teenager, I felt uneasy in my body and I thought that my worth was related to how big or small I looked. I was brought up with that massage at home, so I didn’t know better. Wanting to be lean at any cost, however, meant crash diets, yoyo weight, hormonal disorders and body dysmorphia, sometimes that follow me to this day.
This path of extreme dieting, which eventually turned into full-fledged anorexia for a couple of years, also had a massive impact on my overall health. The thing is: when we are young, we bounce back quicker, but as we get older, our bodies don’t respond the same way anymore.
I had no idea about what hormones did at the time, but I did have a feeling, from the little I knew from being on the contraceptive pill, that they were affecting me a lot. It wasn’t until I turned 38, had a very traumatic and stressful couple of years and realized that I was extremely shattered emotionally and physically, that I realized how hormones really were powerful messengers that we need to listen to to be healthy. I woke up after 2 years of being on, what felt like, a rollercoaster ride and realizing that my adrenals were shattered, that my liver was clogged up and that I had Type 2 Diabetes. I felt hopeless, exhausted, angry, sad and overall disappointed in myself. And I made a decision then and there: that I was going to take responsibility for my health again and this time commit to not being a victim of circumstances, age and “life”.
Live Lean Health was born out of my transformation. And now, once again I am transforming LLH into Cycles Wellness. My brand always was about living life to the fullest, while feeling alive and energised, finding balance, nourishing our body and mind , and appreciating what truly matters.
But CYCLES takes it a step further, it focuses on our Life and Hormonal Cycles, especially as we go through Perimenopause and Menopause! I love how the Japanese call the menopause cycle: The Second Spring , because it truly is a time when we should thrive!
Through CYCLES WELLNESS , I aim to help women break free from physical, mental, and spiritual challenges, by understanding our unique bodies: WE ARE NOT SMALLER MEN!
To do so, we have to understand our hormones, eating and fasting patters and how to use food and lifestyle as medicine!
Let's unlock the power of holistic health together and create a positive ripple effect in our lives and other women’s lives too: TOGETHER WE ARE STRONGER!
On another personal note: my own journey led me to reconnect with my soul and find purpose in my relationship with Source. Embracing this spiritual aspect has allowed me to understand the gifts within me and how nature offers abundance and healing because of the Divine frequency we are connected to, and are part of! This is also why my practice and protocols are focused on a plant based approach that is all about kindness and healing with LIFE GIVING foods!
I'm so grateful to have found healing for myself, because rock bottom is not fun; and I'm excited to share this holistic approach to wellness with you!
Together we can find and share magic!
With Love,
Chantal

Biography
I am Board Certified Holistic Health Coach , Holistic Nutritionist and plant-based Naturopathic Practitioner. My passion lies in empowering women to achieve optimal health and well-being through learning about our hormones, cycles and their needs and wants.
Also being a functional movement teacher, and energy healer, helping women embrace movement as a key component of our wellness journey, I can teach women how to train for our special and unique bodies and need! We are not smaller men and we have different and specific needs, depending on where we are in our cycles!
My commitment to spreading awareness about holistic health and plant-based nutrition has led me to become a published author, public speaker, and guest presenter at CUNY. Additionally, I've had the honour of being a guest presenter on PCRM's One Healthy World (Un Monde Sain) and host of The Green Life Podcast.
In 2019, I decided to embark on a life-changing journey and left London to settle in Portugal, where I founded a lovely eco farm retreat: Eco Dharma Village. ED is all about self-sustainability, growing our own food and connecting with nature to find healing and inviting women to join us to do the same .
With each passing day, I'm humbled by the incredible connections I've made and the profound impact we can create on ourselves, others, and the environment through holistic living and compassionate choices.
Thank you for being a part of this amazing journey with me, and I look forward to continuing to share and grow together!
